CNN’s Chris Cuomo is Mad that “Trump Grumps” EXPOSED his Quarantine Lie

CNN host Chris Cuomo found himself in an uncomfortable situation last week when he attempted to combat a social media critic by claiming he was “past quarantine” when he was caught being out in public. Add in his now-infamous altercation with a cyclist that happened several days before, and you have one defensive news personality.

Cuomo is still choosing to stand by his inaccurate story, and is also choosing to lash out at those who are bold enough to question him.

It all started when Cuomo was seen in public walking with his family over Easter weekend despite allegedly self-quarantining in his basement after contracting the coronavirus in late March. He claimed to be checking out undeveloped property he had recently purchased in East Hampton, which is about 30 minutes from his Southampton home.

While out, a cyclist confronted him, and things escalated quickly. The sighting went public, a police report was filed about the confrontation, and Cuomo mentioned the incident on radio the next day.

Last week, however, the fake news spewed heavily on CNN, as Cuomo appeared live on the air “emerging” for the first time from his basement quarantine as if the whole incident with the cyclist never happened.

“All right, here it is: the official reentry from the basement, cleared by [the Centers for Disease Control],” Cuomo announced as he walked up the stairs. “This is what I’ve been dreaming of literally for weeks.”

Such an odd quote from someone who was just seen in public with his family a week prior.

Cuomo’s next blunder happened on next Wednesday when the CNN host openly lied in a social media post about the events that transpired:

Cuomo first said that during the time the incident with the cyclist happened, he was “past quarantine.” He also lied when he indicated that he was “never in public” but in his “own backyard” when the exchange with the cyclist occurred. Neither of this are accurate statements.

When confronted on social media, Cuomo had this to say, “Sure – it is just a lie. I was past quarantine. Was never in public. My fam was cursed at in our own backyard by a guy with an open case for allegedly biting a man’s hands. Those are facts ignored by trump grumps.” Complete deflection as well as attacks by a man clearly outed for his lies.

The TV personality was touring a recent property purchase a half an hour from home. This is not the “backyard.” In addition to his family being with him, which he claimed he was missing due to quarantine, there was also “another woman” that was on the property with Cuomo, which indicates his public interaction.

The main issue with Cuomo’s claims of being “past quarantine” are especially disturbing, as he admitted on live television that he was still presenting with symptoms just days before the incident and public appearance.
