All The Ways Democrats Used COVID-19 to Push Their Own Agenda

If Americans thought for even a brief moment that Democrats would set partisan politics aside and focus exclusively on the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, they are sorely mistaken.

Since infection rates surged across the country, left-wing leaders have done every disgraceful thing possible to leverage human suffering to further their agenda. From commuting the sentences of convicted murderers to sidestepping the U.S. Constitution, it has been business as usual for leaders of the Democratic Party.

In New Orleans and Los Angeles County, California, anti-gun rights officials sought to close gun stores. Both municipalities have faced civil lawsuits for prior bad acts against the Second Amendment.

“In compliance with @CAgovernor’s Executive Order, Gun & ammunition stores are not considered essential businesses, and will cease to sell to the general public, there are some exceptions. Please see my full statement below,” LA County Alex Villanueva reportedly tweeted.

President Donald J. Trump prevented liberal extremists from shuttering firearm stores with an executive order making these outlets “essential businesses.” What could be more essential than protecting the family in times of crisis? Ironically, California Gov. Gavin Newsome almost simultaneously commuted the sentences of at least 14 convicted murders. Some were linked to the killings of children and only in their 40s.

In Congress, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stuffed the recent $2 trillion COVID-19 stimulus package with outrageous funding for liberal causes. Democrat Majority Whip James Clyburn was so brazen about manipulating the health crisis for political gain that he said it’s “a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.” While infectious disease experts predict upwards of 200,000 could die from the pandemic, Democrat leaders’ minds appear to be focused on political agendas.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts received $25 million from the stimulus bailout. And despite the massive surplus, the organization reportedly furloughed staff and artists.

“This economic relief will save jobs and ensure jobs for our furloughed staff to come back to once the pandemic subsides, and we are able to reopen for business,” according to a reported Kennedy Center statement. “With no end in sight to the current crisis, we feel it is prudent to assume that our business may not resume for several months.”

GOP leaders are outraged at the pet project funding that fails to support working people.

“There’s an enormous amount of spending porn on pet projects that was put into this bill by some powerful members of Congress,” Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy reportedly said. “They think the American people, I guess, are morons and won’t notice, but they did.”

But the political maneuver to insist the November election be conducted by mail-in ballots may be the most blatant attempt to secure power, illegitimately. After the 2016 election, Democrat strongholds showed signs of voting irregularities. Democrats have been pushing to include such as mandate in an upcoming COVID-19 stimulus package.

“The best way to ensure that this virus doesn’t keep people from the ballot box is to bring the ballot box to them. We must allow every American the ability to vote by mail. And we must expand early voting so that voters who are not able to vote by mail are not exposed to the elevated infection risks of long lines and crowded polling locations,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar reportedly said. “Our legislation will guarantee every voter a secure mail-in paper ballot and help states cover the cost of printing, self-sealing envelopes, ballot tracking.”

Much like the other partisan moves, this is a clear attempt to increase voter fraud and take back the White House. Perhaps, as Sen. Kennedy said, they believe the American people are a bunch of “morons.”
