Florida Election Officials Accused of Committing Voter Fraud

Leave it up to Florida to keep things interesting during and after elections. In a turn of events that reminds many people of the 2000 presidential election, voter fraud was discovered almost immediately after the midterm elections in the Sunshine State.

In Miami-Dade County, which is in the southern part of the state, more than 100 provisional ballots wound up being rejected because election officials said people were attempting to vote two times in the same elections.

Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio was not pleased with the news of possible voter fraud. In fact, he said that not just the Florida Democrats but also election officials in the state were attempting to steal the election in Broward County. One person who might be a participant in the problems is elections supervisor Brenda Snipes.

Broward is located north of Miami-Dade. Both counties tend to vote overwhelmingly Democrat.

“#Broward election supervisors ongoing violation of #Florida law requiring timely reporting isn’t just annoying incompetence,” Senator Rubio wrote on Twitter. “It has opened the door for lawyers to come here & try to steal a seat in the U.S. Senate & Florida Cabinet.”

Ronna McDaniel, Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman, also expressed her opinion on the serious possibility of voter fraud.

“#Broward Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes is no stranger to destroying ballots and violating Florida election laws,” she said, joining Rubio on Twitter. “Snipes has shown herself to be trouble. Voters in Florida should be paying attention!”

In addition to Florida, other places in the U.S. have also reported suspected voter fraud not just lately but going back to the 2016 presidential election and earlier. That is flat-out unacceptable.

It is truly outrageous that Florida, and everywhere else in the United States for that matter, cannot be counted on to have honest, reliable, and trustworthy elections. Voters should be able to go and cast their ballots while knowing that their votes are counted properly and make a difference.
