Build the Wall: SCOTUS Hands Left-Wing Groups Another ‘Resist & Obstruct’ Loss

The left-wing “resist and obstruct” movement ran headlong into a U.S. Supreme Court wall that delivered another humiliating defeat in a losing streak that has reached epic proportions.

“The Supreme Court reaffirmed today that it meant what it said a year ago: special interest groups likely lack any cause of action to sue the Department of Defense from transferring funds, and the Trump Administration should be allowed to build the wall and protect our country while litigation proceeds,” according to a White House statement. “Borders are a non-controversial reality of every sovereign nation, and we plan to defend ours.”

Liberal activists in organizations such as the Center for Biological Diversity, Animal Legal Defense Fund, and Defenders of Wildlife, claimed the sky was falling because plants, jaguars, and the Mexican gray wolf would have to stay on their side of the border once the U.S.-Mexico border wall was complete. In support, the ACLU cherry-picked Democrat judges to block border wall progress based on some of the thinnest legal arguments to date. What appears to have enraged left-wing zealots was that on June 23, President Donald Trump completed 200 miles of new border wall construction.

“We’re on pace to complete 450 miles by end of year, 500 miles almost immediately after,” President Trump said. It’s the “most powerful and most comprehensive wall anywhere in the world. My administration has done more than anyone in history to secure our southern border.”

Illegal immigration apprehensions plummeted due to the Trump Administration’s enhanced border security and “remain in Mexico” policies. The Customs and Border Patrol reported less than one-third of the apprehensions in June when compared to one year ago.

“As the Wall goes up, illegal crossings go down,” Trump tweeted.

Open border Democrats fear that only by gaining new voters can they continue to assert their extremist agendas. The last-ditch effort to prevent break-neck speed border wall construction slammed right into the hallowed walls of the high court. The conservative majority has, apparently, grown weary of political activists trying to impede the Trump Administration without cause. They sent them packing with a 5-4 loss.

“The fight continues. Every lower court to consider the question has ruled President Trump’s border wall illegal, and the Supreme Court’s temporary order does not decide the case,” ACLU National Security Project lawyer Dror Ladin reportedly said. “We’ll be back before the Supreme Court soon to put a stop to Trump’s xenophobic border wall once and for all.”

The words from the ACLU frontperson indicate precisely the reasons why the honest conservative justice refused to be hoodwinked. Left-wing groups such as the ACLU continue to twist seemingly legitimate issues to fit their purely political opposition to Republicans and the president. Democrats and left-wing groups such as the ACLU barely blinked when Obama touted completion of 649 miles of a then-proposed 652 miles of wall. Massive cost overruns and a financial crisis put the construction on hold.

The recent U.S. Supreme Court decision to allow construction to continue while liberal groups argue their case in San Francisco effectively means the White House will likely exceed 300 miles by the end of August. No one is fooled any longer that resist and obstruct lawsuits are illegitimate political tactics.
