Trump Prepares Executive Order to Make American Medicine Great Again

While President Donald Trump has won unprecedented success with the Make America Great Again policies, there is more work to be done. The recent coronavirus outbreak has exposed a national security danger. That’s because the U.S. long ago lost its medical independence to rival China.

The Novel Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, spread like wildfire after an unconstrained outbreak in Wuhan, China. European nations such as Italy were utterly unprepared to treat infected citizens. But the Trump Administration has implemented containment protocols to mitigate the infection’s spread that appear to be working. Everyday Americans are only now realizing that the globalists’ so-called “free trade” agreements that began with the Clinton administration made it more lucrative for Big Pharma to manufacture potential COVID-19 cures in Asia.

“What I can speak to is this broader, interesting issue of how dependent the United States of America is on the global supply chain, not just for its medicines, but for its medical supplies and medical equipment,” White House official Peter Navarro reportedly said. “As we speak, I’m bringing an executive order to the president, he personally asked me to move quickly on this issue. The essence of the executive order, which we hope to get to the finish line by the end of the week, is to bring all of that home, so we don’t have to worry about foreign dependency. Seventy percent of our advanced pharmaceutical ingredients come from abroad.”

Democrats continue to roll out a phony message through the fake news media that the Trump Administration is not doing enough to contain and eliminate COVID-19. But what they are not talking about is the fact that America was dependent on foreign oil, rare earth elements, and other vital goods and products until the America First policies restored national independence.

The COVID-19 outbreak has exposed a terrible weakness that the country cannot adequately deliver life-saving medication unless China agrees to sell them to the U.S. In essence, the deal Clinton made, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership Joe Biden was about to force America into, would have put the country at the complete mercy of the communists.

In all likelihood, once the Trump Administration leads the country back from the brink of the pandemic, everyday Americans can anticipate the Washington establishment will again resist and obstruct the America First policies to secure medical independence.

The president was quick to issue an executive order boosting mask and ventilator supplies. Expectations are that the president will issue a mandate that requires medical supplies to be manufactured and stockpiled in the U.S. as a precautionary measure. This is precisely the thinking behind U.S. oil reserves that President Trump recently ordered replenished. Florida Senator Marco Rubio praised the Trump Administration’s decision to craft a medication independence policy.

Sen. Rubio called the move “a very strong first step toward increasing domestic production by enforcing Buy American requirements for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, as well as fast-tracking approval” by the FDA of “critical products impacted by the coronavirus outbreak’s strain on the supply chain.”

While the president’s 2020 campaign slogan has been “Keep America Great,” there appears to be more work ahead to secure true independence.
