Democrats presented a circus of a debate last Tuesday night in Charleston, South Carolina, which prompted President Trump to taunt them about their ridiculous showing at the Democratic presidential primary on Wednesday morning via his social media account. The president criticized the major candidates and pleaded for them to “just give me an opponent!”
“Crazy, chaotic Democrat Debate last night,” Trump posted on his Twitter account. “Fake News said Biden did well, even though he said half of our population was shot to death. Would be OVER for most. Mini Mike was weak and unsteady but helped greatly by his many commercials (which are not supposed to be allowed during a debate). Pocahontas was mean, & undisciplined, mostly aiming at Crazy Bernie and Mini Mike. They don’t know how to handle her, but I know she is a ‘chocker.’ Steyer was a disaster who, along with Mini, are setting records in $’s per vote. Just give me an opponent!”
President Trump responded to the Democrats’ pitiful performance during Tuesday night’s debate ahead of last Saturday’s primary in South Carolina and next week’s Super Tuesday contests. He identified each of their weaknesses and took his shot at former Vice President Joe Biden, billionaire Mike Bloomberg, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, (D-MA), Sen. Bernie Sanders, (I-VT)., and environmental activist Tom Steyer.
He reminded voters about a debate gaffe by Biden in which he said 150 million people have been killed by guns since 2007. Evidently, Biden meant to say 150,000, instead.
He then announced that Bloomberg, whom the president refers to as ‘Mini Mike,’ was weak and unsteady and also mentioned how his many commercials were aired during the debate, which is actually not allowed.
Warren, whom he has nicknamed “Pocahontas” because of her past disputed claims to have Native American heritage, was next. He wrote about how mean she was and how the other candidates weren’t quite sure how to handle her.
And the president simply called Bernie Sanders “crazy” anytime he referred to him, and said that Steyer was a disaster.
It is apparent that President Trump is thrilled with the way the Democratic debates are spotlighting the weaknesses of his opponents. The Democrats, however, aren’t quite as joyful. They appear to be anxious, and rightly so, due to the contentious primary debate that did not represent any of them in a positive way at all.
In fact, their behavior could end up resulting in Sanders steamrolling his way to the party’s nomination, which many say would be catastrophic for the Democratic Party all over the U.S. during the November election. Sanders tied in Iowa with Pete Buttigieg. He followed that victory with wins in the New Hampshire primary as well as the Nevada caucuses.
Biden enjoyed a much-needed bounce back after his victory in South Carolina, but whether or not he’ll be able to sustain it is anyone’s guess.
