Desperate Democrats are making the silly season more entertaining than any election in recent memory. The field of left-wing presidential hopefuls has ramped up a laughable game of upping the ante that has them making promises even a con artist couldn’t say with a straight face.
While only an imbecile — or liberal idiot — could take them seriously, these are the three dumbest promises Democrats want you to believe, so you will vote for them.
1: Democrats Promise Free Child Care For All
The far-left Senator from Massachusetts has been pandering to working families with young children by promising an end to their child care struggles. Democrat presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren claims that she will make government-subsidized childcare a right.
“In the wealthiest country on the planet,” Sen. Warren reportedly wrote, “access to affordable and high-quality childcare and early education should be a right, not a privilege reserved for the rich.”
According to an independent analysis of this policy, the cost would likely exceed $1.7 billion over the next 10 years. In fact, this little vote-getter would exceed the estimated cost of free college tuition in many areas.
How does the senator who flunked a Native American DNA test plan to pay for it? She’d whack Americans earning more than $50 million with the tab. Many recall the so-called 1-percenters sent their money offshore the last time taxes were disproportionately high. Candidates Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Tom Steyer, Bernie Sanders, and Amy Klobuchar, are also onboard.
2: Democrats Promise To Ban Fracking
The left-wing media has managed to demonize the practice of hydraulic fracturing, commonly called “fracking.” The process involves using a pressurized liquid to crack underground boulders and rock formations and gain access to natural gas, brine, and petroleum. It stands as, perhaps, the single most important discovery in the last 50 years in terms of securing low-cost energy.
“Fracking is a danger to our water supply. It’s a danger to the air we breathe, it has resulted in more earthquakes, and it’s highly explosive. To top it all off, it’s contributing to climate change,” Sen. Bernie Sanders stated. “If we are serious about clean air and drinking water, if we are serious about combating climate change, the only safe and sane way to move forward is to ban fracking nationwide.”
Fracking has allowed the U.S. to achieve the energy independence that is a cornerstone of the America First agenda of the Trump Administration. It’s also the main reason that the country is no longer dependent on buying oil from rival states such as Iran, and why automobile and home heating fuel continues to be relatively inexpensive. Banning the practice would devastate the economy and make America dependent again.
“Banning a safe, successful method of developing energy would erase a generation of American energy progress and in the process destroy millions of U.S. jobs, spike household energy costs and hurt farmers and manufacturers,” American Petroleum Institute spokeswoman Bethany Aronhal said.
Other candidates who have promised to ban fracking include Klobuchar, Warren, Buttigieg, Sen. Tulsi Gabbard, and Steyer.
3: Promise to Withdraw Troops from Afghanistan
Everyday Americans are keenly aware of the previous administration’s troop draw-down debacle. Removing a military presence from Iraq resulted in a power vacuum that spawned ISIS and the so-called caliphate. It was one of the few campaign promises Obama followed through on, and it cost tens of thousands of lives. They are at it again — this time targeting Afghanistan. Voters might want to consider the saying: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
“We need to bring our troops home,” Sen. Warren said. “We’re not going to bomb our way to a solution in Afghanistan.”
Ex-Obama number two, Biden, is again on the record saying he would pull the troops despite the catastrophic results of the last administration. One of the more entertaining facets of the Biden campaign is watching him try to take credit for the withdrawal and claim there was no disastrous war with ISIS because of it. Even the left-leaning Washington Post gave him “Two Pinocchios” for that. He and Warren are joined by the likes of Buttigieg, and Gabbard, promising to create yet another opportunity for Muslim extremists to regain control within their first year of office.
