Trump’s 2020 Campaign Re-Election Kick Off Was a ‘YUGE’ Success

President Donald Trump opened his re-election campaign at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL Tuesday to a huge crowd of loyal and excited supporters and delivered harsh criticism to the news media, the entire political establishment, and his “radical” who tried with ”everything they had” to bring down his presidency.

After remarks by Vice President Pence and First Lady Melania Trump, the president was welcomed to the stage by the crowd with chants of “USA, USA, USA…” He spoke about his presidency and the attacks on it. “We stared down the unholy alliance of lobbyists and donors and special interests who made a living bleeding our country dry,” Trump said. “The swamp is fighting back so viciously and violently. For the last two and a half years, we have been under siege.”

The president announced his new campaign slogan: “Keep America Great,” and promised to wage a relentless battle on behalf of his loyal supporters. He then talked about the thriving economy, plans for a Space Force, the successful “obliteration” of ISIS, and defended his stance on the national pro-life movement. In fact, he even went as far as to speak for his party and declared that, “Republicans believe that every life is a sacred gift from God.”

Only four years ago, Trump announced his candidacy for president, which very few analysts believed would land him in the White House. Today, almost four years to the day, President Trump mocked Democrats and declared them to be leaders of an “angry, left-wing mob” and said that the 2020 election will be a “verdict on the un-American conduct of those who tried to undermine our great democracy, undermine you.”

“Our political opponents look down with hatred on our values and with utter disdain for the people whose lives they want to run,” Trump told the packed arena. And although he did get in a few jabs at Democrat rival for the presidency Joe Biden by calling him “Sleepy Joe”, the president did somehow avoid name-calling the 24+ Democrats competing for the right to challenge him.

Trump did warn his supporters that the “establishment will stop at nothing to rob you of another four years.” He went on to say that, “They tried to take away your dignity and your destiny. But we will never let them do that, will we? They tried to erase your vote, erase your legacy of the greatest campaign — probably the greatest election in the history of our country.”

According to a Republican National Committee memo obtained by Fox News, Trump is currently ahead of Democratic rivals in the key battleground states as well as with “voters overall.” The memo was released due to reports of Trump struggling in polls against potential 2020 opponents, including Joe Biden. Fox News ran a poll as well and showed similar numbers for Trump’s advantage.

During the second quarter of fundraising on April 1, Trump already had an unprecedented $40.8 million in cash-on-hand while the Republican National Committee and their joint fundraising committees have a combined $82 million cash-on-hand for the reelection efforts.
