Heavily metropolitan areas are basically always a hub for everything left-of-center, but Portland, Oregon is truly standing out as the capitol of all the worst side effects of cultural leftism.
Forget about the fact that New Yorkers are legitimately proud to report a weekend with no drive-by shootings. Forget about how Chicago is rife with gun violence despite boasting for having some of the most stringent gun control policies in the country. Portland is actually littered with human feces, because relieving yourself on the street is considered to be an acceptable “alternative lifestyle.”
Of course, Democrats turning once powerful cities into hubs of cultural degeneracy is nothing new. It isn’t even unique to American cities. But the latest social trends in the Oregon city are truly jaw-dropping. The city is home to one of the most active Antifa mobs in America, and anyone who even hints of having a conservative opinion about anything can expect to find themselves harassed in broad day light — with police being given orders to stand down.
