Google Caught Pushing Anti-Trump Agenda

Everywhere you turn, there are voices and opinions that are opposed to President Trump. And now, information is coming out to indicate that one of the largest technology giants had joined in that chorus we’ve all seen from day one of Trump’s presidency. Yes, Google is now on the anti-Trump bandwagon.

Leave it up to Tucker Carlson of Fox News to discover what was really going on. He said on a recent program that he was able to obtain some emails indicating that employees at Google attempted to sway Google search results with the intention of promoting groups they supported and terms that fit their agenda. Those groups and terms opposed President Trump and his policies.

“We have internal documents that show that Google employees discussed corrupting the company’s search engine to push propaganda on hundreds of millions of unsuspecting users,” the Fox News host said during on of his broadcasts. “Shortly after taking office, President Trump issued his now famous ‘Travel Ban,’ Almost immediately after that Google employees began plotting ways to undermine the president’s executive order.”

Carlson was referring to the 2017 incident which took place immediately after the president was sworn in.

“On January 29, a Google product marketing manager named Mackenzie Thomas sent an email to a group of fellow employees: ‘There is a large brainstorm going on throughout the marketing org,’ she wrote.”

At the time, Google employees were apparently busily trying to figure out how to bring down Trump’s so-called “Travel Ban.”

Carlson said that Thomas had an idea to “actively counter algorithmic biased results for search terms such as Islam, Iran, Mexico, Latino, and so forth.”

The talk show host added that Thomas also suggested promoting links that users could go to and make donations to various groups that were actively opposing and trying to defeat Trump’s travel ban. This was not an isolated opinion either – Carlson revealed the company’s entire executive board appeared to be involved.

In response to the emails that Carlson said he had obtained, Google released a statement:

“Their emails were just a brainstorm of ideas, none of which were ever implemented. Google has never manipulated its search results or modified any of its products to promote a particular political ideology — not in the current campaign season, not during the 2016 election, and not in the aftermath of President Trump’s executive order on immigration. Our processes and policies would not have allowed for any manipulation of search results to promote political ideologies.”

Take that with a grain of salt.

It’s quite eerie that Google would be hatching such a plot behind the scenes while Google users are totally oblivious to the antics.

A technology power like Google should not be focusing on undermining the President of the United States. It should not be pushing forward its own biased political agenda, and should instead be concerned with providing objective, truthful information to people who use and trust its search engine.

As the saying goes, “buyer beware,” or in this instance, “user beware.” If you use the popular search engine, you have been warned. Consider all this the next time you do a Google search, especially if it relates to any political topics and President Trump.
