High ranking Democrats made their decision to reject Pres. Donald J. Trump’s recent U.S. Supreme Court nominee long before he even made his selection.
The party of open borders, higher taxes and bad trade deals knows only two ways to do business in the nation’s capital: “resist” and “obstruct.”
It’s no exaggeration to say the liberal extremists are determined to prevent 53-year-old Brett Kavanaugh from earning life tenure on the high court. The current U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit judge was tapped for that post by Pres. George W. Bush. He’s a Yale Law School graduate and practicing Catholic who supports religious liberty, Second Amendment gun rights and may not necessarily be wedded to allowing the Roe v Wade abortion ruling stand intact.
But how would Democrats actual know where he stands? The congressional hearing won’t even begin until early fall. What the Democrat Party leadership knows is that America is becoming great again under the Trump Administration and they don’t like it.
Nancy Pelosi Wants Revenge
House Minority Nancy Pelosi plans to pull out all the stops to prevent Kavanaugh — a distinguished judge — from gaining 50 votes in the Senate and confirmation. Days before Pres. Trump made his selection on prime time television, the California liberal had already begun fundraising efforts.
The money is apparently going to be used to undermine Kavanaugh’s credibility and bully Red State Democrats into voting against him, regardless of how he responds during the process.
Pelosi, in a dramatic outburst, said she was “determined to avenge President Obama if it’s the last thing I do.” Many recall that ex-Pres. Obama’s last nominee, Merrick Garland, was not elevated to the high court. After a weekend of hard fundraising against the eventual pick, Pelosi treated Americans to some of her more ridiculous and ironic statements on the issue.
“I just learned that SECONDS after Trump’s announcement… Republicans will launch an unprecedented $1.4 MILLION ad blitz to support his nominee,” Pelosi wrote in an email. “I’m worried this will eviscerate our chance to make Republicans pay for the Supreme Court seat they STOLE from President Obama.”
For all Pelosi’s headline-grabbing, she has no actual vote in the process.
Democrats Resist Early and Often
Joining the 78-year-old’s preventive strike against the nominee before knowing who he or she was, Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania vowed to vote against the eventual candidate.
“I will oppose the nomination the President will make tonight because it represents a corrupt bargain with the far Right, big corporations, and Washington special interests,” Sen. Casey tweeted.
Everyday Americans will sleep well in their beds tonight knowing Sen. Casey has a crystal ball and can see into the future.
Sen. Schumer has gone on the record saying that he will not even consider Pres. Trump’s nominee until after the fall elections and a new Congress begins. Basically, he’s attempting to stall the work of the nation’s highest court for upwards of one year. However, he reportedly made a plea to Pres. Trump to install Merrick Garland.
Hillary Group Advances Anti-Kavanaugh Website
It took only about one hour for Hillary forces to enter the fray. The launch of stopkavanaugh.com asks the Senate to reject the well-respected appeals court judge because “Brett Kavanaugh will serve on the Court for life, shaping the future of our country long after Trump is out of office.”
Given Hillary supporters confusion about the Electoral College in 2016, it’s no surprise the left-wingers are just now learning about to American civics and want to share with other liberals. The website appears to be funded by Demand Justice and led by Brian Fallon, Hillary’s former press secretary. Other notables include Gabrielle McCaffrey, who waged Hillary’s failed digital presidential campaign.
Demand Justice reportedly plans to spend $5 million to oppose Kavanaugh’s appointment.
Booker has Another Bizarre Meltdown
For all the nicknames Pres. Trump has for political characters, when he drops one on New Jersey Sen. Corey Booker it ought to be a winner. Perhaps no one makes an absolute fool of themselves in front of the media like Sen. Booker in meltdown mode.
In his latest explosion, Sen. Booker had this to say after the pick was made.
“It’s almost as if the president said, ‘let me find the person that’s most going to protect me’ — under an investigation that’s already led to over 70 charges, over 20 individuals, corporations have been charged, five guilty pleas, one sentencing,” Booker ranted, eluding to the Russia Probe that has brought disgrace to the FBI. Booker knows full well the president is not under investigation.
The only question everyday Americans really need answered is whether Democrats such as Maxine Waters will call on street thugs to harass Brett Kavanaugh and his Christian family.
