The Boy Scouts Changes its Name, Allows Girls to Join its Ranks

The Boy Scouts of America will change its name in favor of something more inclusive, the organization recently announced in a historic moment that virtually spells the end of over 100 years of tradition.

The Scouts has not yet revealed what exactly it will start calling itself, but will for now refer to itself simply as the ‘BSA’ — which conveniently ditches the word “boy” from its name. The move comes on the heels of its announcement that it will begin accepting young girls into its ranks as early as 2019.

The name change is the latest indicator that the Scouts are moving in a far more progressive direction. While the organization once championed introducing young boys to all things Americana as well as a warm relationship with Christian values, the Scouts have since distanced themselves from any religious connection, and began accepting Scout Masters of homosexual orientation.

As part of its push for inclusivity, the Scouts announced a new program aimed at integrating young boys and girls more closely.

“Cub Scouts is a lot of fun, and now it’s available to all kids,” Scouts marketing director Stephen Medlicott said in a press release. “That’s why we love ‘Scout Me In’ – because it speaks to girls and boys and tells them, ‘This is for you. We want you to join!’”

On the surface, the idea of opening the Scouts up to include girls may seem like a benign development, but it underscores just how deeply entrenched progressives and radical feminists have made themselves within American cultural institutions. The original idea behind the Boy Scouts was to allow young boys to bond with one another in a space conducive to healthy masculinity. This sort of bonding is just as important for young women, evidenced by Brownies and the Girl Scouts.

Why is the left so bent on spreading the idea that men and women are interchangeable — and that physiological differences aren’t important or acceptable?

Watch YouTube commentator Steven Crowder take the whole thing to task in the video below.
